<p>The Highland Recreation Area Rustic and Equestrian Campground offers 25 sites, each has picket poles and a fire ring. There is access to water and two vault toilets located near the campground entrance. All sites are shared with non-equestrian campers. There are two new ADA sites outfitted with concrete pads (sites 20 & 21). 

Sites can be reserved online at <a href="https://midnrreservations.com/" target="_blank">MiDNRReservations.com</a>. The website provides recommendations for rig sizes (as some sites are more suitable for large trailers).</p>

<p>From the campground, visitors can access the <a href="https://www.dnr.state.mi.us/parksandtrails/Details.aspx?id=380&type=SPTR">Cedar Creek Trail</a> which connects to other trail systems such as the <a href="https://www.dnr.state.mi.us/parksandtrails/Details.aspx?id=286&type=SPTR">Equestrian Trails</a>.</p>
